Bad Posture Back Pain Symptoms. People do not perceive how really important it is to stand position and sit correctly. Poor posture treatment is the main reason of chronic back pain and gives painful ailments which is slipped discs and sciatica. Invariably, people with poor posture lack energy and vitality. Their chests are slumped, and they do not breathe correctly as they use only a small portion of their lungs.
Yoga poses are designed to stretch the spine constantly and build the muscles in the lower back, enabling you to achieve best posture. You may think that you are standing or sitting correctly, but you may not understand your own body alignment. Indeed, pregnancy or either weight gain or loss can unbalance you.
Whether you are standing, kneeling or sitting, imagine that a string is pulling you upward from the top of your head. Push your shoulder blades down and lift the chest naturally. When you are in perfect posture, you will feel `centered'. It is rather like placing building blocks on top of each other. If they are not evenly placed, they will tumble down.

The exercises in this paragraph frequently refer to first and second position. In first position stand with your feet together and touching each other. Open the toes evenly and press your heels down. In second position stand with your feet approximately 30cm (1ft) apart. The feet should be positioned below the hips with the toes pointing forward.
Stand as tall as you can with your feet
together, keeping your shoulders down and
your stomach and tailbone tucked in.
Lift up your heels and steady on your toes. If you do not fall forward or backward you are in perfect posture.
In Steps I and 2, test yourself for importance of good posture. (In Step I, it is important to distribute your weight evenly.) Steps 3 and 4 demonstrate correct posture when kneeling and sitting.
